Whitetail Deer

This workshop will be on the techniques for carving a picture. The picture will be a 10" x 12" portrait of a Whitetail Deer set against
a backdrop of its habitat. Students will be taught basic figure carving techniques that can be applied to carving any sort of figure.
The deer will feature some slight embossing as well. Students will also be introduced to some basic pictorial carving techniques as
they carve the scene. You will learn to carve grass, rocks, trees, bushes, hills and more as you complete this carving. Students will
have the opportunity to add a floral carving to the corner of the design for accent if they wish.
Instruction and a demonstration will
be given on adding color to the picture.
